Job Opportunity: Emerging Media Visual Arts Instructor at NMSA

New Mexico School for the Arts’ Visual Arts Department (VAD) is seeking a full-time Visual Arts Instructor in Digital Skills, Digital Photography, Video, New/Emergent Media along w/ Contemporary Art Theory, Junior Conceptual Concerns for the 2018-19 school year. Areas of teaching experience and professional expertise could include, but are not limited to: Photography, Digital Skill, Graphic Design, Animation, Installation, Video, Sound, New/Emergent Media, 2-Dimensional Design (hand and digital), Independent Projects, and Art Theory Studio Courses (Post-Modern/Contemporary Art Theory Projects). The course load is 3 courses per semester Monday – Friday. Hosting late night Open Studio is also required one night a week for two hours (5-7 pm, either T or TH). The teaching commitment extends beyond the classroom to being present on the NMSA campus and for the Visual Arts Department as needed M-F, with some weekend events additionally required with notice.
